Why join the MMPO?

The MMPO is the only national midwifery focused provider organisation in the country, with membership in all DHB regions and networks with over 100 different midwifery practices. An excellent claiming and electronic data management system which is very stable and has a very low rejection rate. We pay weekly and have excellent working relationships with HealthPac, DHBs and the New Zealand College of Midwives. Sound financial systems with long term viability. A small national team of staff who are professionally focused, flexible and have a thorough knowledge of midwifery practice and business management processes to support midwives achieve and maintain financial viability.

 

How much does it cost to join the MMPO?

Membership of the MMPO is free to midwife members of the NZCOM. The cost of providing the service to you comes from the sale of the MMPO Maternity Notes. The full set of Maternity Notes cost $12.00 excl GST a set, which equates to about 0.5% of the price paid to you for a complete LMC 'case'.

 

Who can join?

All midwife members of the New Zealand College of Midwives who are working as LMC midwives may join the MMPO.

An increasing number of maternity facilities have also contracted with the MMPO to provide the practice management system to their employed LMC midwives. If you are interested in this option talk to your manager and with the MMPO.
